Happy January 19th! Is it snowing where you are? If you’re in Fargo, ND, there’s a good chance that it is, but if you’re in Miami, FL, it’s probably not. But, did you know that on this day in 1977 it did actually snow in Miami? It also snowed in the Bahamas!

Write a story where someone prepares for one kind of weather but then encounters another kind. How does that change the way they view the city/space that they are in? Do they have to buy new clothing? Are they too hot? Too cold? Use specific details to show exactly what it feels like to be caught off-guard in this way.
