Five Year Anniversary Dance Party & Art Auction
Sponsored by:
NANO Fiction, invites Houston’s best read for a night of art and debauchery in honor of the journal’s fifth anniversary on August 26th at the Joanna Gallery (1401 Branard) from 8 pm until 1 am. The evening will feature an art auction, live music, and some creative surprises.
Admission is $10 and includes all you can drink beer courtesy of No Label Brewing Co., mimosas, and a preview of the upcoming issue. Funds from the door and auction will help support the continued publication of the magazine and its contribution to Houston and the broader literary community.
Stop by from 9 until 10 pm to bid on works from local artists Jason Poland, Stephanie Martz, Ashley MacLean, Piyu Sen, and Tom So. Bidding will immediately be followed by raucous dancing and general excitement. Patrons are encouraged to bid on the art pieces but discouraged from dancing on them afterward, at least until the artists go home.
For those cannot attend but still want to help us get down and party (and print), send us a donation! Donors who give $25-$49 recieve a one year subscription and donors of $50 or more get a mystery gift in the mail! Isn’t that exciting? We think so.
