January Newsletter: Send your submissions!

The weather may be fluctuating crazily, but NANO Fiction is as constant as ever. As we wind down the editorial process for issue 6.2, we’ve got a couple brief announcements to share with you.

Issue 6.2

While we are getting close to wrapping up NANO Fiction‘s twelfth issue, there’s still a few weeks left to be considered! We’re using Submishmash by Submittable, which we cannot praise enough. Go here and send us a something!

State of Flash and Flash Fiction in the Classroom

Call for Submissions: We’re looking to publish some short essays on teaching or talking about flash fiction in and out of the classroom. Which stories have worked particularly well to generate discussions? Which stories have inspired students? Which stories have inspired you? How has flash fiction changed the way you or your students view writing or the writing process? Please send essays of no more than 1000 words to Kirby Johnson and Sophie Rosenblum via Submittable.

Donations

NANO Fiction is proud now to be a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so that means that all donations to us are tax-deductible on your federal taxes. Instead of paying all those bank fees for your off-shores accounts this year why not donate to support the only print journal dedicated to flash fiction?

All best,
Kirby Johnson and Glenn Shaheen
