2009 Houston Indie Book Festival

Through a collaboration with Gulf Coast, Domy Books, and CLMP, NANO Fiction is proud to sponsor the second annual Houston Indie Book Festival, Sunday May 10 at Domy Books (1709 Westheimer at Dunlavy).

Completely Free! Doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 5.

Show Mom how smart and cultured you’ve become this Mother’s Day by taking her to the Indie Book Fest. The event features Houston and Austin-area independent publishers, magazines, and booksellers, all selling their wares at deeply discounted prices.

Chicago and New York may be known for their literary and publishing communities, but the Houston Indie Book Festival is here to give them a run for their money, showcasing some of the best presses, magazines, and booksellers Texas has to offer. This year’s Indie Book Fest will feature tables hosted by the booksellers, magazines, presses, and literary organizations listed below.

2672914785_3b2c657bc0Bookstores: Brazos Bookstore, Kaboom Books, Murder by the Book, Blue Willow Bookshop, Sedition Books, The Menil Bookstore, and Heights Books-Libros.
