Prompt #45 — Write like Todd Dillard

Here (view piece), Todd Dillard has created a story that uses the foreign language of a country to illustrate the traveler’s ignorance. We can see this when he mixes up the meanings of certain words, such as bolillo and bolígrafo, giving us a window into his character that the character isn’t even aware of.

PROMPT

Use another language to add insight to a character in a foreign land. Does the character know what is going on around him or her? Show us in another language.
