Announcing Issue 9.1, Sehr Flash, and More!

NanoCoverV9N1_v3HALFWe’re not quite out of the summer inferno yet, but if you’re like us, you’re already dreaming of fall. Cooler times are fast approaching, meaning it’s time to curl up with a fresh issue of your favorite flash fiction journal.

Issue 9.1 will be arriving in mailboxes mid-October and it’s a stunner, featuring stories from Fred Muratori, Carmen Lau, Sarah Hulyk Maxwell, Grant Faulkner, and more!

The issue also includes Sehr Flash: Fiction Becomes Music–a collaboration among writers Callie Collins, Kelly Luce, Michael McGriff, Vincent Scarpa, Jessica Richardson, and Matthew Salesses, two of Austin’s premiere composers, Russell Podgorsek and Hermes Camacho, and the Cordova Quartet.

Inspired by sehr Rasch, a German tempo marking for very fast music, Podgorsek and Camacho composed full–yet very short–arrangements for each of the featured stories. Readers will be able to experience the music, stories, and sheet music as a triptych in this one of a kind feature.

So, reserve your copy of NANO Fiction today to listen to Sehr Flash and read everything this little issue has to offer!
